Pet of The Month

Gidget

This month's pet of the month is Gidget. Gidget is a 6-year-old spayed female Maltese mix.

Gidget was adopted by her "now" owners when they answered an ad in the paper for Gidget needing a new home.

Gidget has been pretty healthy with only one condition ailing her. Gidget is hypothyroid, requiring daily medication to keep her slim and trim. She once had to go to UC Davis to have a foxtail extracted from her nasal passage. She had been suffering for a month with the problem and been through many procedures as veterinarians tried to treat her. She never missed a meal during the entire ordeal!

Once when Gidget was younger, she used to chase squirrels frantically! One time she was almost lost when she chased a squirrel into the steep canyon behind her home.  She also has a great fondness for grabbing her owner's bath towels and dragging them around the bedroom.
